Candles & Candle Holders for Valentine’s Day Decorations

Valentine's Day Decorations CandlesMy name is Mandee and I am a candle – candle holder junkie.  Yup, my favorite Valentine’s Day decorations (and any other holiday) are themed candles and candle holders.

There are so many out there to choose from — votives, pillars, tapers and more — I thought I would share some of my favorites with you.

Valentine’s Day Decorations – Candles

I love LED candles. You get the best of both worlds with them.

Because they are flameless, you get to enjoy your candle forever instead of watching the design melt away. And, you still get the flickering, ambient light a real candle puts off.

There are some lovely choices you can use for Valentine’s Day decorations around your home too!

Real Valentine’s Candles

If you are a purist and prefer real candles (I use both), there are still lots of Valentine themed candles to choose from. Red and pink are the dominate colors for Valentine’s Day and the candles are really gorgeous in both colors.

Remember, when using real candles, be sure there is nothing too close to the flame that might catch fire. And, keep it back far enough from the edge of your table or piece of furniture that little hands can’t reach it. Hot wax hurts!

The candles below are perfect for celebrating and decorating for Valentine’s Day. I really love the sculptured candle with the hearts and the word “love” in it but the rest are great too! Which one are you leaning towards?

Don’t forget the Candle Holders!

Now that you have chosen the candles you like best, a great way to display them is on a candle holder. Another option is to find a great Valentine’s themed candle holder and use plain red, white or pink candles in it. Either way, you will have a great Valentine’s Day decoration!

I had a hard time narrowing down the candle holder choices as there are so many available but I do think I like these three the best. Now I have to decide which one to order for this year! I have to limit myself to one new one each year or I would be overrun with candles and candle holders at my house.

What to Do With My Valentine’s Day Candles?

Picture a nice grouping celebrating the Valentine’s holiday on your entry table, mantle, sofa table or bookcase. Add a Valentine’s card, a candle holder, a candy dish filled with conversation hearts of red and pink M & M’s, a framed photo of you and your sweetie (or of the kids or grand-kids) and then sprinkle a few small glass hearts around the grouping and you are all set!
Valentine’s Day may only, officially be February 14th, but after you take down the Christmas decorations, put up the Valentine’s Day decorations in anticipation of the most romantic day of the year!
